When the Swedish election was about to end, WWF made a timely Instagram post that moved people’s focus to the quickly decreasing number of whales in the Baltic Sea. In Swedish, the word for election is the same as whales, so we could do this by simply stating that the election would soon be over, and match it with an image of the endangered whale. After the election, the results were uncertain, leading to a political debate as to which political party shall lead the country, so we followed up with an ad in the leading political magazine Fokus stating that the “election” continues.
